Is this a hackathon?

No. The competition is not a hackathon. It does not ask for an application, a prototype, or a smart contract. A reasoned negative conclusion is valid.

In what ways can someone take part?

Three paths can be combined: the two online training sessions, the research competition, and the in-person closing workshop. The sessions and the workshop are registered on Luma. The competition is registered on this site, by team. A Luma registration does not register a team for the competition, and a request on this site does not reserve a Luma place.

How does a team register for the competition?

The team leader registers the team on this site: the team name, the city, then each member's given name, family name, email, and role. A team has 3 to 5 members, with exactly one principal leader. A deputy is optional. The recorded country is the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The competition is held from five teams. The consequence of a lower number is not published. The request creates neither an account on this site nor a Cardano Forum account. After registration, the leader's access code is shown on the page. It is the only way to open the team space.

Is a Cardano Forum account required?

The account is required for the team to be ready for the competition. It is not required for the online sessions or the workshop. Each person creates their own account on https://forum.cardano.org/. This site never asks for the forum password. A personal introduction is encouraged, and it is not required. The username and the profile link are completed later in the team leader space.

Where and when is the workshop?

The workshop is at Bakanja, in Goma, on Friday, December 18, 2026. The time and the precise address are not published. The site does not connect a wallet.

What subjects can teams work on?
